Seaport Seayer
An existing hotel in Seaport, Boston is getting a boutique redesign. Its new name, the Seaport Seayer, takes inspiration from the Boston Harbor - the salty air, the ocean ripples, and the magic of city lights. It aims to be a place of rest and regeneration for guests.

1 / Floor Plans
The common spaces focus on the juxtaposition of New and Old Boston with worn brick and wood tones layered behind black metals and concrete. The dark ambience highlights the glittery lighting and finishes of the cityscape. Planters guide the way to the “healing spaces:” the spa, gym, and guest rooms. These spaces focus on rejuvenation and therefore use lighter, more natural materials. They aim to create a varied experience and separation of space, as well as immerse the guest in the healthy healing of nature.

2 / Materials & Rendered Floor Plans
The common spaces create a moody, Old Boston feel for the majority of the hotel. Materials are darker and moodier to reflect the city night atmosphere. Glittery materials and pops of yellow reflect city lights and create contrast. To create a fully immersive spa experience, a greenhouse entrance relaxes the guest before entering the spa. The spa features a mineral pool, similar to the healing ocean water.

3 / Salty Sip Juice Bar
The fresh, salty breeze is key to the identity of the Boston Harbor and rejuvenates all who visit. The Seaport Seayer juice bar aims to refresh its guests through a sparkling design and healthy interior. As the main inspiration, the textures and forms of salt influence the seating groups, sparkly materials, and pink hues.
